India Expected to Become $5 Trillion Economy by 2024-25 Says Puri

On Thursday, Union Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri said that India is confident to become a USD 5 trillion economy by the year 2024-25 and USD 10-trillion by 2030. In a virtual conference of PAFI India, Hardeep Singh stated that the economic growth of India is increasing and will surely achieve the targets. He said petrol consumption is 16 percent higher and consumption of diesel is 10 to 12 percent higher than the pre-Covid levels.

On 28 October, Google Doodle is paying tribute to Professor Kano Jigoro. Kano was responsible for formalising martial art as a sport and is often referred to as Japan’s ‘Father of Judo’. Judo is a martial art and a sport that brings people together on principles of justice, safety, courtesy and modesty. As per Google, the doodle of Professor Jigoro’s 161st birth anniversary is illustrated by Los Angeles-based artist Cynthia Yuan Cheng.

1.5 million People Received Booster Shots against Covid- 19 in the First 5 Days

After the authorization of extra doses in the US, at least 1.5 million people have received booster shots of either Moderna or Johnson & Johnson’s covid vaccine in the first five days. White House announced this news on Wednesday and said that that the booster program is off to a very strong start. It also said that the administration is working in coordination with states, pharmacies and other entities to fasten the booster shots up to 10 million Americans.
