On Wednesday, China’s parliament expressed indignation and opposition to a U.S. bill. That bill was aimed at countering a technology threat from the Asian giant. The foreign affairs committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) said in a statement that the bill displayed a Cold War mentality, smearing China’s domestic and foreign policies. The bill was also interfering in its internal affairs.

A law approved by the Congress of El Salvador will classify Bitcoin as legal tender in the Central American country. This makes the country world’s first nation to adopt a crypto currency. President Nayib Bukele tweeted after the vote on late Tuesday that the #BitcoinLaw has just been approved by a qualified majority in the legislative assembly. He also said a majority of 62 out of 84 lawmakers approved this bill.
