On Gandhi Jayanti, world's largest ‘Khadi national flag’ inaugurated in Leh

Union Territory Ladakh unveils the Tiranga made of Khadi cloth on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. This Khadi Indian Flag has been inaugurated by the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. The Khadi Tiranga is considered as the largest national flag of India and has been installed in the Ladhak’s capital Leh. The length of the flag is 225 feet and the width is 150 feet. The weight of the flag measures 1000 kilogram, according to national broadcaster Doordarshan.

The researchers of UCLA Samueli School of Engineering have developed a novel soft and flexible self-powered bioelectronics device. This device converts human body movements into electricity. These movements include the movement of pulse on one’s wrist and turning it into electricity can be used to give power to wearable and implantable diagnostic sensors. This research of UCLA is based on the change that how much material is magnetized when tiny magnets will constantly be pushed together and pulled apart by inserting mechanical pressure. When the magnetic field’s strength shifts then the electricity is generated.
