CNG Cooking Gas Prices are Likely to be increased by 10-11% in October

CNG gas prices may increase up to 10-11% in cities such as Mumbai and Delhi by next month.  According to a report given by ICICI securities, the price of CNG is set to rise by about 76%. Moreover, natural gas is converted into compressed natural gas (CNG) that is used in automobiles as fuel or piped it that is used in household kitchens for cooking purposes.

Government Cuts Import Taxes On Vegetable Oils

Government of India has cut base import taxes on palm, soya and sunflower oil. As the world’s biggest vegetable oil buyer is trying to cool near-record price rises. Reduction in taxes can also bring down prices of edible oils in the country and can boost consumption. Consequently, the base import tax on crude palm oil is reduced to 2.5 percent from 10 percent. Similarly, tax on crude soya sunflower oil has been reduced to 2.5 percent from 7.5 percent.

A detailed advisory on precautions has been taken against the Nipah virus by the Karnataka Health Commissioner. He said that people coming from Kerela will be kept in observation as advanced surveillance measures are already taken at all border districts. Human Nipah Virus (NiV) is an infection that has emerged from zoonotic disease. The cases of this infection had been reported in two areas i.e. West Bengal and Bangladesh in 2001 and 2007.

China Launched New Earth Observation Satellite (EOS)

Gaofen-5 02, a new Earth satellite has been launched into space by China. The country has aboard a Long March-4C rocket from its Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre that is located in north China’s Shanxi Province. The Gaofen-5 2 satellite is useful for Television and Personal Computers networks. It is the twenty-fourth series of Gaofen Earth-Observation Satellites (EOS) of China.  The Gaofen-5 two is a hyperspectral satellite that will be used to improve the hyperspectral capacity of the country’s atmosphere.
