Uttar Pradesh Government’s Primary, Upper Primary Schools is Likely to Reopen
The Uttar Pradesh is witnessing decline in the COVID-19 infections, so the state government on Thursday advices over 1.5 lakh government primary and upper primary schools to reopen from July 1. Basic Shiksha Parishad Secretary has reportedly issued an order to divisional assistant education directors and Basic Shiksha Adhikaris across the state. Though the schools will open for staff and teachers for administrative work, students will not be allowed to come till further orders from the Uttar Pradesh government.
Delhi Police has Quizzed Twitter India Head on May 31 Over ‘Congress toolkit’
Manish Maheshwari, head of Twitter India was questioned by the Delhi Police on May 31 in connection with an alleged “Congress toolkit”. The case is against the central government. Although no details of the interrogation were provided but the development comes as the latest in a series of charges that the central government has raised against Twitter India over compliance with information technology laws in the country.

US Senate Confirms Indian-American Radhika Fox will lead EPA’s Water Office
Indian-American water issues expert Radhika Fox is appointed as head of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water. On Wednesday, the US Senate has confirmed Fox’s nomination by 55 to 43 votes after seven Republican Senators supported her candidature. However, two Democratic Senators did not cast their votes.
