DRDO Skill Centre for Fire Safety Training Inaugurated in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilkhuwa

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated Skill Development Centre (SDC) at DRDO on 22nd February, 2021. The new facility for fire safety training was opened in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilkhuwa. The SDC is developed by DRDO laboratory Centre for Fire, Explosive and Environment Safety (CFEES). Defense Minister stated that the training centre will go a long way in ensuring quality training to the personnel and preventing such mishaps.

Rescue teams have recovered 70 dead bodies from the sites of glacier burst incident in Uttarakhand occurred earlier this month. Teams also have found 29 human organs. 134 people are still missing and search operations are still going on. However, local administration may declare the missing persons dead as it has been already more than 15 days since rescue and search operations begin.

Karnataka will Host Khelo India University Games 2021

The Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa announced that Karnataka will host the second Khelo India University Games (KIUG) in the year 2021. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Khelo India University Games. Moreover, these games will be held in the Jain University and other venues of the state. Jain University will also organize the games in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
