India will Gift 20 Lakh Doses of Covid Vaccine to Bangladesh on 20 January 2021

India will send 20 lakh doses of Covishield to Bangladesh as a gift on 20 January 2021. Bangladesh government official announced to receive 2 million doses of Indian variant of vaccine developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca and manufactured by Serum Institute of India. Apart from that, Bangladesh has also procured 30 million doses from Serum Institute. 

First Labour Movement Museum of India to be Set Up in Kerala

India’s first labour movement museum will be set up in Alappuzha. The museum will showcase the history of world labour movement. It will be launched as part of the second 100-day programme of LDF government. Moreover, Alappuzha is the Kerala’s houseboat tourism hub.

She was awarded Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri as well as Ramon Magsaysay Award for her efforts.

Relive the FIFA Club World Cup Official Draw

Former Switzerland goalkeeper Diego Benaglio helped to draw the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020 Official. The draw took place on 19 January. The teams taking part in the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020 found their path to glory in the Middle East. While headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland had organised the official tournament.

The draw was presented by Jessica Libertz and conducted by FIFA Deputy Director of Competitions Jaime Yarza. However, former Switzerland international goalkeeper Diego Benaglio assisted Yarza in the draw. The draw disclosed the schedule of matches of the six participating teams in the tournament. These team will compete from 4 to 11 February to win the coveted trophy.

Earthquake Injures Three in Argentina and Tremor Also Felt in Chile

Near the border with central Chile, an earthquake of 6.4-magnitude shook Argentina. Authorities said on Tuesday that the tremor injured at least three people. The shaking caused the collapse of a house, damage to roads and some other buildings in several cities. Authorities also stopped the supply of electricity and water.

Taliban Attacks and Violence Kills Dozens in Afghanistan

A wave of Taliban attacks and violence has killed dozens across Afghanistan. Officials said on Tuesday, that talks are underway between the government and the insurgents in Qatar. The attack also killed four army soldiers at the checkpoints in Kunduz province.

Biden Picks Transgender Woman as Assistant Health Secretary

President-elect Joe Biden has picked Rachel Levine as the Health Secretary of Pennsylvania. After the confirmation from the US Senate, it makes her the first openly transgender federal official. Moreover, Democratic Government Tom Wolf in 2017 appointed Levine a pediatrician and former Pennsylvania physician general for her current post.
