Thomas A. Harris was an American psychiatrist and author who is known for his bestselling book I’m Ok, You’re Ok. He received his bachelor and master degree in science. He also worked for navy as a medical intern. During an attacked at Pearl Harbor in December 1941, he boarded the submarine tender and as a result he loses his hearing permanently. He was also a founding member of Berne’s San Francisco Transactional Analysis Seminar. He also authored Live Life Abundantly!: Begin Now to Reach Your Lifetime Goals with 25 Goal-Achieving Techniques. Harris published Staying OK, a sequel to I’m OK, You’re OK, co-authored with his wife.
