Bank of Baroda (BOB) Launched ‘Bob World’ a Digital Banking Platform

Bank of Baroda that is owned by the government of India has launched a digital banking platform named “Bob World”. The platform will provide all banking services on a single platform. Bob World is a Mobile Banking Application of Bank of Baroda. Bob World was previously known as M-Connect Plus. More than 220 services will be offered through the Bob world application.

“SIB- OneCard Credit Card” to be Launched by The South Indian Bank in Partnership with OneCard

“SIB- OneCard Credit Card” to be Launched by The South Indian Bank in Partnership with OneCard

After the State Bank of Mauritius, now the South Indian Bank in collaboration with Pune-based OneCard will launch an app based on “SIB- OneCard Credit Card. It is a premium metal card that is internationally valid on the Visa Signature Platform. This can be managed through OneCard App.

First Emergency Landing of India Inaugurated on National Highway of Rajasthan

Defence Minister and Highways Minister, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the Emergency Landing Facility on a National Highway in Rajasthan on September 9. This emergency landing facility is constructed on the Satta-Gandhav stretch of National Highway (NH) 925A in Rajasthan. Super Hercules transport aircraft (C-130J) of the Indian Air Force by landing on the emergency field inaugurated the facility. This is the first time when India used a National Highway for emergency landing of IAF aircraft.

Union Education Minister of India has released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2021. The ranking list the top universities and colleges across India. This ranking has been announced for 11 categories. These categories include education fields like Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, Engineering, Medical, Law and Research, etc. This list adopted such parameters that will rank the colleges and universities of India.

South Korean Researchers Develop an ‘Artificial Skin’

Official researchers of South Korea stated that they have developed an artificial skin-like material. The skin is inspired by natural biology that helps to quickly change its color like a chameleon to match the color of its surroundings. A mechanical engineering professor of Seoul National University said that they have created a special type of “skin” with a special ink that changes color based on temperature and is controlled by tiny, flexible heaters.

Kongthong is a village in Meghalaya that is known as ‘Whistling village’. The village is famous for its ancient history. According to ancient legends, mothers of this village call their child by a tune instead of a name. The Ministry of Tourism for the UNWTO (World Tourism Organisation) nominated Kongthong for the ‘Best Tourism Villages’ award. The other two villages from India have also been nominated for the UNWTO award and they are- Ladhpura Khas located in Madhya Pradesh and Pochampally in Telangana.

According to the data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Covid cases are increasing among the children of the US. As schools are reopened and children have started going back to schools but thousand of them are found Covid positive. More than 250,000 new cases of covid-19 have been found in the last week of August.
