The much-anticipated CBSE class 10 result for 2021 have also been announced, after the announcement of class 12 results. The Central Board of Secondary Education declared the result of high school on the 3rd of August on its official website. Indian Prime Minister along with several eminent personalities congratulated the students who have successfully passed the matriculation grade. This year around 20,97,128 candidates registered for class 10 CBSE exams and out of those 20,76,997 are declared pass and qualified for higher education. Overall, pass percentage of CBSE class 10 results 2021 is 99.04%. This year, the results are declared without conducting the exams as widespread pandemic condition forced the board to cancel the exams.

CBSE informed about this news to the students by releasing an official notice that said, ‘CBSE Class X Results to be announced today at 12 Noon’. Soon trends like #CBSEResults and #CBSE began trending on social media. CBSE followed special evaluation criteria to announce the results of class 10 and class 12 as exams were not held. Since the pass percentage is above 99 this year, most of the students are happy with their results. After the announcement of results for class 10 by CBSE, students are now on cloud nine as most of them have been passed with flying colors. They are celebrating their success on social media by sharing congratulatory messages and several memes to each other. However, the board is yet to announce class 10 results for over 16,000 students. Their results are under process due to some issue with academic records. On one hand, more than 20,00,000 students of class X have passed the exam, over 17,000 students have got compartment based on their previous performance. These students will have an option to give an offline-mode exam on August 16, 2021.

Moreover, this year like many previous years, girls are a step ahead of boys as they score better by a margin of 0.35 per cent. Trivandrum topped the national tally in district-wise ranking with a good percentage of 99.99 %. Then Bengaluru with the score of 99.96 per cent stands on second position and followed by this, Chennai is at third with 99.94 per cent. East Delhi has got 97.80 percent and West Delhi has an average of 98.74 passing percentage. Education minister congratulated the successful candidates. He also motivated those students who did not meet expectations this year and advised them to not lose hope and urged them to continue their hard work.

CBSE marksheet contains score of students with detailed information. The mark sheet contains students’ name and roll numbers along with the names of their father, mother and school. Marks of each subject are given on the marksheet in a tabular form. These scores help students to know their result or percentage.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, CBSE affiliated schools will not physically hand out the mark sheets and other important documents to students. The schools will share these documents with students individually through online portals like Digilocker, etc.

When CBSE announced its evaluation criterion for the tabulation of marks for CBSE class 10 result, many students opposed that assessment process. They were accusing that the evaluation process is not fair for some students. According to the evaluation criterion, schools have to compute the past performance of students for 80% marks on the basis of periodic tests, half-yearly or mid-term exams and then 20% marks to be calculated based on the internal assessment. So, some students were complaining that the school might manipulate the marks for various reasons and the deserving students might suffer due to this.

Therefore, keeping all these things in view, the CBSE had decided to conduct an offline exam for those students who would not be satisfied with their marks. Now, when results have been declared, unsatisfied students are asking about the updates regarding the offline exam. To solve their issue, the board has announced that the offline examinations will be conducted between August 16 and September 15. However, many questions are yet to be answered such as what will be the CBSE class 10th re-exam syllabus or what will be the CBSE class 10th re-exam charge/fee, etc. A detailed schedule for the offline exams will be soon released by the board.
