On June 30, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the NDA and NA exam 2021 results. Earlier, the exam of National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination or NA (I) 2021 was conducted by UPSC on April 18, 2021. Amid the situation of pandemic where most of the exams got postponed, UPSC has successfully conducted the NDA and Naval Academy Exam (I) within the perfect time phase. UPSC has uploaded the results of these exams on its official website upsc.gov.in. Candidate’s mark sheets will be uploaded on UPSC’s website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final results. It will remain available on the website for 30 days.

How to Check the NDA and NA Exam 2021 Results?

To check the results, follow the points given below:

  1. Go to the official website of UPSC at https://upsc.gov.in/
  2. Then go to ‘what is new’ on the homepage.
  3. Open the link that reads Written Results: National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2021 by clicking on it.
  4. After this, you have to click on link that has PDF file to open your result.
  5. Then the list of roll numbers of successful candidates, who have qualified for interview by Services Selection Board (SSB), will be appeared.

What will be the Next Step after the Declaration of NDA and NA Exam 2021 Results?

After declaring the results, now the next step will be scheduling of the personal interview by SSB. Only candidates who have qualified for the examination will be called for the interview round. UPSC conducted the NDA and NA (I) exam, and interviews will be conducted by the Services Selection Board. Services Selection Board (SSB) comes under the Ministry of Defence that allows the admission to Army, Navy, and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy. The NDA and NA exam 2021 results will allow admission to the 147th course in National Defense Academy and admission to the 109th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) that will be commencing from 2nd January 2022. Candidates who have qualified the written examination will have to go through the interview round and those who would pass the interview will get selected for the respective courses.

A notice was released that stated the further process that candidates have to follow. The notice states that the candidature of all the candidates, whose roll numbers are shown in the list is provisional. In accordance with the conditions of their admission to the examination, candidates have to register themselves. They can online register their names on the Indian Army Recruiting website joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of announcement of written exam result. Then the successful candidates would be allotted Selection Centres and dates of SSB interview. This information will be communicated on the registered email IDs of the candidates. There is no need to register yourselves if you had already done so. The notice also shows an email id [email protected] for candidates in case if they face any query/ Login problem. UPSC has requested the shortlisted candidates of written examination to submit their original certificates of age and educational qualification to respective Service Selection Boards (SSBs) at the time of the interview.

UPSC is an official body that conducts the nationwide Civil Services Examination (CSE) for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service. The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces that trains the cadets of Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. It is the first tri-service academy in the world and it is located in Pune, Maharashtra. The written exam for admission to NDA is conducted by UPSC every year. After written exam, candidates are shortlisted for interview by SSB and successful candidates get admission to the academy for training. After training from NDA the cadets go on to the respective service academy for further pre-commission training.

Every year, around four lakh, aspirants appear for the NDA exam, out of which approximately 6,000 are selected for SSB Interview. The selection of the candidates is done by UPSC as it prepares a list of candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in the written exam. Such candidates are called for SSB Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test. Among the several alumni of NDA, many went on to win bravery awards including Param Vir Chakra and Ashoka Chakra.

The Indian Naval Academy (INA or INA Ezhimala) is the engineering and defence service training establishment of the Indian Naval Service cadre officers and the Indian Coast Guard. The Naval Academy is located in Ezhimala in Kannur district of Kerala. INA Ezhimala is surrounded by Mount Dilli, the serene Kavvayi backwaters and the majestic Arabian Sea. It is Asia’s largest Naval Academy with a total perimeter of 22 km while the campus occupies an area of 2452 acres. The main work of INA is to conduct basic training for all officers inducted into the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. On 20 November 2019, the INA was awarded with the President’s Colour. The President’s Colour is the highest honour that is bestowed upon a military unit.

UPSC conducts the NA exams that will help the candidates to apply for undergraduate officer-trainee and graduate officer-trainee programs of the Indian Navy. The flagship course of the INA is the 10+2 Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) that will provide training of four years in the academy. Upon graduation, cadets are appointed as sub lieutenants in the navy. After graduation, cadets majoring in Naval Architecture have to undergo an additional 6 months training at the Naval Dockyard which is situated at Visakhapatnam.
