LAC Disengagement to Start in Phased Manner as India and China Reach to an Agreement

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has announced that India and China have reached an agreement on disengagement at Pangong Lake in Ladakh. The new development may finally bring an end to the months-long border tension between the two neighbours.  China’s defense ministry has also stated to start a synchronized and organized disengagement at LAC. The withdrawal of armoured elements started on 10th February 2021.

India’s First CNG Tractor to be Launched by Government

India’s First CNG Tractor to be Launched by Government

Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will launch first CNG tractor of India on 12 February 2021. Country’s first converted CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) is approved by government-run vehicle testing facility. The tractor converted to run on CNG from diesel is said to save around Rs 1 lakh annually for farmers on fuel costs. CNG tractors will also help reduce emissions by 40 to 50%.

Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan Hits Record-Breaking T20I Against South Africa

Mohammad Rizwan finished with 64-ball 104 not out comprising six boundaries and seven sixes. South Africa won the toss and sent Pakistan in to batting at the Gaddafi stadium on February 11. Moreover, Mohammad Rizwan a Pakistani wicket-keeper-batsman etched his name on the record books with a stunning century in the first T20I against South Africa in Lahore.

After former New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum, he became only the second wicket-keeper batsman. Rizwan hit a ton in all three formats of the game. Moreover, McCullum as a specialist keeper has scored 5 Test tons, 3 ODI tons, and 1 T20I hundred. However, Rizwan as a keeper has scored 2 hundred in ODIs and 1 each in Tests and T20I.

On February 11, Jayalal Rohana a veteran Actor has passed away at the age of 57.  He made great contributions to the Sri Lankan entertainment industry. He is also well known for his works such as television drama ‘Isuruyogaya’, and films ‘Ayoma’, and ‘Sinhawalokanaya’.

China has criticized the BBC news channel for its reporting on coronavirus. The country also accused the channel for the persecution of ethnic minority Uighurs. So, China country has banned the BBC World News from broadcasting in the country. Moreover, the BBC was “disappointed” by this decision.
