India is Elected As a Member of UN Economic and Social Council for 2022-24
For three-year terms of 2022-24, India has been elected as a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It is one of the six main organs of the United Nations. Parliament of China Opposes US Bill on Chinese Tech Threat
On Wednesday, China’s parliament expressed indignation and opposition to a U.S. bill. That bill was aimed at countering a technology threat from the Asian giant. The foreign affairs committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) said in a statement that the bill displayed a Cold War mentality, smearing China’s domestic and foreign policies. The bill was also interfering in its internal affairs.
Bitcoin is Now Legal Currency in This Central American Country
A law approved by the Congress of El Salvador will classify Bitcoin as legal tender in the Central American country. This makes the country world’s first nation to adopt a crypto currency. President Nayib Bukele tweeted after the vote on late Tuesday that the #BitcoinLaw has just been approved by a qualified majority in the legislative assembly. He also said a majority of 62 out of 84 lawmakers approved this bill.
